Adare Manor Golf Club is a championship links-style course in the village of Adare, County Limerick, southwestern Ireland. The manor was built in 1832 and the golf course was redesigned by world-renowned architect Tom Fazio following a major renovation completed in 2017. It hosted the 2019 JP McManus Pro-Am and has been lauded as one of Ireland's finest courses. The 2027 Ryder Cup will be just the second time Ireland has hosted the event — the first was in 2006 at The K Club in County Kildare.
The Ryder Cup was first played in 1927 at Worcester Country Club, Massachusetts, USA — Great Britain & Ireland won 9½ to 2½ against the United States. The competition has been played every two years since (with breaks for World War II). The 2027 edition in Ireland marks the centenary — 100 years of the world's greatest team golf competition. The event is expected to draw record global broadcast audiences for the milestone occasion.
No — the Ryder Cup is held every two years on odd years. After the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black (USA), the next edition is 2027 at Adare Manor, Ireland.
The USA historically leads the overall series. However, since 1985, Europe has been a dominant force, winning the majority of Ryder Cups played in that era.
Ireland uses Irish Standard Time (IST = UTC+1) in September — identical to British Summer Time (BST). Both the UK and Ireland share UTC+1 during the September competition dates.
